Maholnap Foundation has developed a transparent and reliable grant-making management system
1. Through our nationwide active volunteer experts/regional representatives - as opposed to the governmental or the business sector - we are familiar with, and have direct contact to non-profit and civil organizations working for socially marginalised and disadvantaged people.
2. Maholnap staff and local representatives involve many civil organisations nationally in an ongoing information ex-change process in order to inform each other mutually about the evolving social needs and problems and also to suggest proper solutions. This relationship is crucial and requires sensitivity. Maholnap categorises the problems based on local needs according to certain themes.
3. Maholnap Foundation develops a complex grant-making policy and a donating profile for companies for request.
4. Maholnap finds and facilitates local sponsorship to generate financial and in-kind resources to implement projects based on actual or permanent needs of local society.
5. If donators have concrete views and could synchronise their donating principles with their company-image and goals, then Maholnap initiates contact with the most reliable foundation focusing on that specific aim. We are willing to organise and arrange all steps related to the donation procedure according to the real donating intention of the donor company.
6. Maholnap Foundation calls for proposals from the civil sector four times a year to grant civil foundations all the support given by companies or private donators.
7. Train civil organisations to become co-operating partners of donators.
8. The Expert Committee of Maholnap Foundation evaluates the projects, then suggests to the Board supporting or refusing them. Maholnap Foundation keeps a discrete and impartial relationship with all applicants, and judges objectively on the expected social and regional effects of the projects. Our foundation disposes reliable experience in this field. Our clear, transparent, accountable, objective evaluation procedure ensures the complete implementation of these standards.
9. The Members of the Board all possess reliable knowledge and an unimpeachable past. They make impartial decisions based on the grant criteria and the comprehensive information gained in the evaluation process.
10. Maholnap Foundation monitors the implementation of the projects in a transparent and objective way.
11. Maholnap Foundation prepares a final financial account towards donators and informs them about the results of the implemented project.
12. Maholnap Foundation publicises pilot grass-root initiatives on its website that can be models for other organisations.
